My name is David K, and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I’ve made over $60,000 from the internet alone. I first started learning about websites and internet stuff back in 2005, where I managed to play around with some scripts, setting up different sites and testing them.
My first breakthrough on the internet was during 2009, where I started my first online business. I did some research on an interesting product, and managed to import 10 samples of it from China, to sell them online. The total cost price for the machines including shipping fee comes to about $2200, which I invested to test out the products. I then setup my first online store and due to my previous knowledge on the internet, I managed to sell all 10 of the machines within my first 6 weeks of business, selling them at $200 profit per machine, therefore doubled my investment back at $2000 in profit within the first month and a half, I was impressed!

I then used the money to import 20 machines, and second month I’ve sold 20 = $4000 profit. Third month sold 20 = $4000 profit, then I started to sell 30 – 40 machines per month = $8,000 profit per month. I was at the top of the world as all I had to do at the time was to wake up in the morning or afternoon, then send the machines to all my customers around the country. I was working just few hours a week and managed to clear over $6000/mth consistently. There were some few minor setbacks like I had to refund my customers etc, but not a big deal as it wasn’t too many refunds.
After 6 months of being in the business, I’ve made around $30,000+ in profit already, so I invested $15,000 to buy in bulk, as I get a huge discount. Imported 100 machines with $15,000 from China, by sea. This was when the problem started. There were sellers all over the ebay undercutting my retail price, so I had to lower it down. Then other major problems started like customers after customers were complaining about my machines, and I had to refund a lot of them. By the 8th month or so in business, all of the 100 machines are close to depleted as many of them are due to refunds, but still made many sales from it.
After that I’ve decided to shut down the business and quit while I’m ahead, as it wasn’t something which I loved doing, although it’s easy, the machines I imported wasn’t stable as many of the machines were due for refunds, which made me very depressed as it was a loss. I wasn’t sure it could be because my supplier ripped me off. Either way I was determined to leave this business out of my life, as I didn’t feel happy about all the refunds then. By then I managed to made a profit of about $40,000 in total. So I called it quit.
Mid 2010 – I managed to build some sites and had a network of 30+ sites, which had Google Adsense on it. Google Adsense is a contextual advert you can place on your site so when someone clicks on it you get paid. So, I managed to drive traffic to all these 30 sites of mine, and earned over $4500 within the first few months of Mid 2010. I then sold 2 sites of mine, the first one I’ve sold it for $4000, second one at $1800.
As you can see from the above video, that was on July 2010, the blocked out square in the middle corresponds to all the different sites I had, and the highest earning site was at $1500+ in the month of July alone. However, good things had to come to an end. Google changed some of their policies and my sites were not getting as much traffic as it used to be anymore, therefore my earnings dropped significantly.
2011 – I’ve decided to build RichStudent.com which brings us to this site you’re reading now. I planned to build this site as a journal and a marketing tool for my affiliate marketing project. I’m planning to build this site up to gain the traffic I used to get with all my other sites that I had. At RichStudent.com, you’re able to learn a lot about internet marketing, about money making strategies, watch inspiring videos about what other successful people have been doing to be successful, and hopefully ignite a fire within you so that you’re able to communicate on this blog, and learn a thing or two from everyone that participates on this blog.
Congratulations on reading this far
To your success,
David
